Casa Capo

The first bite tells the truth
The project

An author sandwich holds, in the first bite, every decision that came before it. We built Casa Capo’s brand in Córdoba around that idea: a purely typographic logotype with a single gesture of its own, four colours each with a job, and a cast of Victorian engravings that behave like the regulars.

The challenge

What a sandwich looks like when it is a dish

The category trains the customer to expect little: chalkboards, clip art, the word artisan repeated until it means nothing. Casa Capo cooked to restaurant standards and needed the brand to say so before the first bite, without putting on a white tablecloth.

Our approach

Everything that happens before the bite

The manifesto settled the rest: eye, hand, mouth, flavour. If the bite is the sum of the decisions before it, the brand had to look just as decided. Nothing added, nothing decorative: a logotype that is only type, and a single gesture across the whole system — the “o” in Capo, barely tilted.

Two typefaces, four colours, eight dressed animals

Khuja Uppercase leads the logotype and the headlines; Sweet Sans Pro sees to it that everything else reads. Shadow Grey holds, Vibrant Coral marks, Alabaster Grey breathes, Light Blue appears rarely and on purpose. The engravings are the customer, not the decor: curious, demanding, without prejudice.

The result

A seal, not a logo

A manual that closes the criteria instead of opening them: two logotype versions, four alternative compositions, a circular seal with ESTD 2025 to sign with, clear space and minimum reproduction sizes defined to the pixel. The system holds from a coaster to a storefront.
